A+BDC is a Paris based interdisciplinary atelier with architects, designers, researchers, consultants and dreamers. We are currently involved in a number of projects throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

The interdisciplinary atelier approach to projects is of a collaborative, experimental, analytical yet playful nature, drawing from extensive experience across a wide spectrum of disciplines and regions, balancing creativity with pragmatism, and integrating aesthetics, materials, and technology to explore new ways of thinking and conceptualizing our projects.

For us, each new project brings fresh opportunities to explore and reinterpret the constantly evolving facets of contemporary life, cross-generational and multicultural, in an ever-growing global economy, with its needs for a sustainable future.

Within this framework, we work closely with our clients, listening and brainstorming, not only to understand their practical needs and to learn from their experiences, but also to recognize their underlying dreams and inspirations as well, in order to generate evocative, bespoke architecture and design projects.

Our founding partner, Fawzi AZAR, is a dynamic architect and entrepreneur. With 20 years of experience in architecture, design, engineering, project management, and real estate feasibilities and consulting, he developed a skill and passion for handling creative yet complex projects, ranging from educational, to commercial, retail, offices, hospitality, food & beverage and healthcare projects.

Having previously collaborated with big names such as Michael Squire & Partners (London, UK), Architecture-Studio (Paris, France) and Machado & Silvetti Associates (Boston, USA), Fawzi led his family business, Builders Design Consultants (an architecture and engineering consultancy firm established in 1973 with a portfolio of over 450 completed projects) for 10 years, growing the business’ proficiencies and reach, before establishing A+BDC in 2020.
